Like your logo it is important to keep your image the same across all profiles so you are easily recognisable. In saying that you do not need to go and spend 100’s of dollars to get a beautiful glamour shot done of yourself. Keep your picture a real representation of you so that when people meet you in person their first thought isn’t going to be ‘oh yeah – he photoshopped that pic for sure!’ Familiarity builds trust and so you need to make your customers feel comfortable when they meet you, not have them thinking you have something to hide.
Your profile space is also a place to not only put a photo of yourself but in most cases social sites give you adequate space to create a banner which can hold advertising such as your logo, tagline and contact details so don’t waste it by just putting up a square picture of yourself. The most common place you will see these are the bookmark length profiles on Facebook. If you want us to create one for you our special offer to our fans or followers is $50 each or 2 for $80 (one to advertise your fan page and be used on your profile, the other to be placed on your fan page).
Some sites allow you to upload entire custom backgrounds such as Twitter and YouTube – these are exceptional spaces to recreate the theme colours and logos of your business and not only presents your business as professional but increases the brand awareness and recognition of what you represent. Our team of Graphic Designers can also provide these background images for you at a very reasonable cost of $60 or 2 for $100 (YouTube and Twitter) but if you want to attempt creating your own there are sites that allow you to upload your logo and details, pick your colours and create it for you. To find them, google ‘create a free twitter background’ and be sure they provide you with the most recent profile layout as Twitter and Youtube have recently changed their appearances.
