There has been a little bit of activity around YouTube lately and the latest is the subtle but new features to their Home Page. Appearance wise the YouTube Home Page doesn’t look much different – but with closer inspection you will see a few differences to encourage you to go to your homepage more often.
My favourite and the most useful change is the videos after you’ve watched them display faded. I particularly like this new feature because if I’m watching a series of videos it quickly shows me which ones I’ve already viewed without having to remember the titles. Another nice new personalized feature is you can delete what videos are viewed from the homepage and it has more prominent links on display to your inbox and video comments.
To avoid the annoyance of scrolling through all the subscriptions, recommendations and friends activities or editing how many rows are displayed in each area – YouTube has given you the choice to ‘read more’ and displays only one row of each instead.
These changes to YouTube’s Home Page make it easier to do more in one place and get a quick view of what you might want to watch or what subscriptions are saying and doing for you to comment….
