The growth of Facebook is outstanding and any Company’s dream to become the ‘virtual place to be’. Going by these latest stats it doesn’t look like it is going to slow down anytime soon either!
From a Social Media Marketing perspective I would be paying attention to the age demographics of who is using Facebook. Utilise the free social media marketing tools Facebook provides you and look at your Fan Pages Insights Reports to see how many of your fans fall into the 35+ and what information is getting the most comments or likes.
When I read that 48% of the younger generation are turning to Facebook to FIND information it tells me that they are placing a lot of interest in finding out what is said about a product or brand from others and not the features that are usually boasted on the business websites. For a business – building your network of quality customers and accessing referrals is going to be vital to survival when this next generation hit their 30’s – whether it is online or offline!
So while you look at this infograph think about what more you can take away from these latest findings and how you can better equip your business marketing wise to profit from the inevitable Online Social World.
