Facebook gets a lot of traffic as it delivers a lot of engaging material but this chart from the Business Insider should leave no doubt in any businesses minds as to whether they should be thinking about whether to bother becoming a part of the Social Media world.
I was surprised to see how many other Social Sites that are not so readily known creeping into the Top 10. What was even more interesting was that Twitter and Linked In didn’t make it into the Top 5. Will be interesting how this may change now Linked In has also brought in a more sophisticated advertising campaign service similar to Facebook.
The other piece of information I noticed was that YouTube was not listed…. not sure if this is because in this study Video Sites were not considered Social Community Sites or not but I wouldn’t be underestimating the power of how video can generate traffic back to your website and lead to sales if you’re a small business looking for cost effective Social Media Marketing strategies.
