Business Networking with Motivating Mums

Recently I had the opportunity to take my Social networking offline and meet other Mummy business owners in the Sydney area. It always amazes me how women seem to make the most of every opportunity and this event was no different!

Recently I had the opportunity to take my Social networking offline and meet other Mummy business owners in the Sydney area. It always amazes me how women seem to make the most of every opportunity and this event was no different!

The Big Morning Tea was held in various locations in Australia and when Motivating Mum’s organisation leader, Alli Price planned a get together to raise proceeds to go towards cancer research,  she also organised female business women speakers – those touched by cancer in their life that have gone on to succeed. This Big Morning Tea event  created the opportunity for other like-minded business women to share & network over coffee & cake while raising funds for a good cause.

Natalia, Lidia & Me at the MM Big Morning Tea

While attending the Sydney event  I  met and spoke to Lidia Sherwin (Ditch Your Debt) & Natalia Padgen (Across The Verge) as well as hear about other Australian growing businesses such as ‘Vivid Eye’ & ‘Deals For Mums’. Many assume from the outside women’s business events are an excuse to ‘get out of the house’ and share your ‘paying hobbies’ with others. But the Motivating Mums organisation (which started in the UK and has spread into Australia) has attracted some well established female owned businesses who aspire to learn and grow bigger. Not matter where you are in your business it is always a benefit to meet and greet like minded people – if you’re an experienced business owner many opportunities may arise from helping and mentoring other women & if you haven’t the budget to pay for business coaches & marketing experts then finding experienced advice over a price of coffee is the next best thing!

Success is listening to other people’s mistakes before you make them, and working together – not alone. I think Mum’s are naturally successful when we put our minds to it because we have the intuition to listen and the ability to multi-task so well.

If you’d like to meet me or any of the other Motivating Mum’s, Alli has planned a really big lunch for us all on the 17th June. Click here for the details. If you’re new to her website, why not have a look around.
