I recently updated my profile picture across all my social accounts and websites (thanks must go to the talented Zahrina Photography). Given my line of work this was no quick job… and there probably is one or two I missed somewhere! Of cause changing your profile then gets a lot of compliments & attention – it’s why we do it right? Because it looks better than the last.
But what message does your image deliver to those you are wanting to build a professional network with? We have all heard the saying a picture tells a thousand words – so what does your social profiles say about you and what you would be like to do business with?
Here’s a comical view of what some of those images out there may say about you.
If you are not using social sites for business then you have nothing to worry about. But if you are attempting to use Social Media as a marketing tool for your business – don’t be fooled that it doesn’t matter what your profile picture is because it’s what helps people trust your business. These are online business networks and work not all that different from offline. You join groups, introduce yourself and share with people what you do…
